The classical version of the French King cake: two layers of puff pastry filled with a frangipane cream (a mix of almond cream and pastry cream).

Hidden inside the Galette des Rois is a small trinket (called a fève), and whoever discovers this inside their slice is crowned king or queen for the day (you will receive the galette with a paper crown).
